Re: The C3 is one special scooter!

Long time without me posting in these parts, but I have to throw in my agreement here! I continue to ride my C3 often. I sold my Mustang months ago, leaving the family with one car and the C3 for running transportation and I couldn't be happier. Work continues on restoring an old Lambretta, but the ...

Re: Cross country scooter trip

Sounds cool! You passing through central Florida? I ride with a local club in Orlando and could probably scare up some company for you if you did. In fact, most of us are planning to participate in this year's Scooters for Hooters ride...benefitting the cause of breast cancer. Great minds think alik...

Re: Hello Everybody! New C3 Owner from WI.

Hi Ben. I picked up the Yamaha windscreen last year and I love it. Not as adjustable and tool-free, but it gets compliments both for being nice and for being almost invisible. Lots of "oh is that new?" from folks who've been riding with me since I bought it. It definitely helps with top sp...

Re: Hello From Miami Florida

I'm a little late, but welcome! I'm in Orlando and kentronix is in St. Pete/Tampa. Some other guys around the state as well. You're so right about the weather...it's awesome. I feel a little guilty when I see the annual posts here about "how do you prepare for winter?" Um...a hoody? ;)

Re: Attempted Theft

You have a new ignition? Does that have the shutter on it? If so, have you tried opening/shutting the shutter on that new ignition with your keys? If that ignition could be used with your keys, I'd just swap it out. It's not too tough a job to get in there. I feel like I might be misunderstanding yo...

Re: Lithium battery

Regarding the original post, I recently spoke to a friend who has three scooters and is sporting a lithium battery in at least one. He said it's been working great for him and lasting well. He also said it's so light that it doesn't seem like it could really be a battery. The price puts me off a bit...

Re: Dr pulley sliders

Yes, they can be mixed as long as they are all the same type of weights--either all rollers or all Dr. Pulley sliders. You also have to mix them evenly around the variator. There are three pairs of weights, so each pair should be the same 2 sizes and postions as the other pairs. For example, if you ...

Re: 2. diary of a scooter tour (Rhön-Alps, 2600km, 12 days)

The translation is good enough to understand your basic ideas and even your jokes. The pictures say 1000 words, though. What a gorgeous trip! I saw some of Austria and the Alps back in 1987 and still remember it as the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Please do post photos and info about the sad...

Re: New two wheel vehicles!

Pretty interesting that you found an article written by folks riding the same pair of bikes you and your son are getting! Sounds like both bikes are great in slightly different ways and I expect the two of you will enjoy the occasional swap. Back here on the east coast, I just brought home the dual ...
