Re: Mixed weight rollers

Re Mixing Roller Weights. I have mentioned it in another post but I am still skeptical of the practice of running different weight rollers at the same time. Even with my limited understanding of physics I strongly suspect that only the heavier rollers will be doing the work. Has anyone experimented...

Re: does 56,88mph with my 4stroke zuma 50f ! :D

I'm saying the white spring doesn't work for you because your are running those gears, I don't want others to get the idea that the white spring isn't great, because on normal gears it's amazing.

I want to see some video of you hitting your top speed, and especially of you pulling 50mph up a hill.

Re: does 56,88mph with my 4stroke zuma 50f ! :D

The white malossi spring was one of the first mods I did to the C3, even before a variator. It's a very crucial piece to tune the variator. It doesn't work with the malossi upgears, the 50cc doesn't have enough power to compress the spring and move those tall gears. I went through all that when tryi...

Re: Big boy needs hill-climbing mods!

Putting the washer on the backside will not make it sit any closer than if the washer wasn't there at all. That is dictated by the boss pin. If you remove the washer from between the drive face and boss, the drive face moves closer to the engine, and is no longer aligned with the rear pulley. Puttin...

Re: new to c3s!

Removing the rear fender is needed to run the next size bigger tire, a 130/90-10. I would see of he still has it. The 130 will give you better top speed, but might hurt acceleration a little. Nothing a little cvt tuning won't fix.

Re: Big boy needs hill-climbing mods!

Putting the washer on the backside of the variator keeps everything's spaced. If you just remove the washer, it moves the drive face over and messes with the alignment. If hill climbing power is needed and top speed is not a priority, then leave the washer alone. It's better to get that lower ratio....

Re: 53 Mph C3

It is crucial to have it shaved evenly to keep it balanced. Some friends have done them by hand, I had a machine shop do the work. They cut it on a lathe.

Re: 53 Mph C3

So are you back to stock exhaust? It's funny because the exhaust is with someone in San Diego now. Many people have pointed it out to me that they have seen my old exhaust. It was pretty unique. I haven't met him yet, but he joins some OC rides occasionally. I got my malossi drive face back from the...

Re: Newbie questions

In general, the belt will wear into the cvt setup you have. Which is why it sucks breaking in a new belt, it takes about 100 miles to fully wear in properly. Running stock drive face with a different angle will influence it, and be something to tune around. It is ideal for the drive faces to match, ...

Re: Newbie questions

One a battery is that low it's hard to bring them back. I use the battery tender to keep mine charged. Remove the washer and put it on the backside of the variator, it needs it there to keep the drive face lined up with the rear pulley. As far as variators go, stick with malossi. Offers the best per...
